About Juliette Shivers

Juliette Shivers was born in Shreveport Louisiana and attended Grambling State University where she earned a double-major B.S. degree in Institutional Management and Food Production Management in 1991. She began Graduate studies and earned several certifications from Texas Woman’s University/ Iowa State University in dietetics. Juliette worked for Head Start in Dallas and Migrant Head Start in California. Teachers, co workers and parents urged her to promote her unique talents to the public sector. Over nine years later, Juliette has published her first works “Brenda doesn’t like Broccoli,” a favorite. Juliette is currently in process of publishing the works, "The Food Group Book: (sing-along) and "America the Beautiful and the Tasty" to appear by the Spring of 2007 in CD/DVD and bound. Juliette enjoys her outreach services and volunteers at local church’s food banks to offer nutrition consultations. Patient’s, families and agencies ask for her by name. “The rewards have been astronomical knowing that I can contribute to changes in one’s lifestyle and possibly help to prolong their quality of life during and after their illness.”
